On May 25 & 26, we were so pleased to host many visitors to St. James Cemetery & St. James Cathedral for Doors Open. Both sites were alive with many eager to learn more about the Cathedral and Cemetery’s connections to the City of Toronto and others simply feeling encouraged to come through our doors. Many thanks go out to those who volunteered their time and enthusiasm to make everyone who visited Doors Open feel welcome!

Doors Open is returning again to St. James Cathedral and St. James Cemetery this May 25 and 26!
We are looking forward to welcoming thousands of visitors over the weekend to learn more about us, our community, and the history contained within both the Cemetery and the Cathedral.
Self-guided and guided tours at both sites and at the Cathedral, there will be demonstrations of the Cathedral’s new organ and the chance to take a tour up the Bell Tower. We hope to see you this year for Doors Open!

As always, volunteers from the Cathedral community are instrumental in making Doors Open an ongoing success at St. James Cemetery and St. James Cathedral, helping visitors feel welcome, sharing information, and providing a friendly and inviting presence throughout St. James Cemetery and St. James Cathedral.
If you are interested in volunteering this year for Doors Open this information is for you:
Join a training session on Sunday, May 19 after the 9:00am and the 11:00am services at St. James Cathedral (106 King Street East, Toronto ON M5C 2E9)
Please let us know when you would be able to help and if you wish to volunteer at either the Cemetery, the Cathedral or both.
