Thank you to everyone who joined us today at St. James Cemetery for our annual Blessing of the Animals in celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
It was a joy to witness such a beautiful gathering of people and pets—furry, feathered, scaled, and hooved—all coming together in love, gratitude, and community. The wagging tails, gentle purrs, and smiling faces reminded us of the deep bond we share with all of God’s creatures and the sacred role they play in our lives.
Your presence helped make this day especially meaningful, and we are so grateful for the warmth, reverence, and joy you brought to this beloved tradition.
May the blessings of St. Francis continue to guide us in kindness, compassion, and care for all creation.

❤️ This meaningful service invites people of all ages to bring their pets -furry, feathered, scaled, or hooved-, to receive a blessing as we give thanks for the special role animals play in our lives and in God’s creation.
A joyful celebration that brings our neighbourhood together, full of wagging tails, warm hearts, and the shared love of God’s creatures.
All are welcome: pets and people alike.
